David Q. Jones, Esquire

David Jones serves as the dedicated chief legal counsel for Carelon Research. In this role, Mr. Jones advises the Carelon Research senior leadership team on all legal matters. He reviews and negotiates all legal agreements including complex clinical and non-clinical research services agreements, confidentiality agreements, and data sharing agreements with life sciences companies, academic institutions, government agencies, and health plans. David works closely with the regulatory compliance team at Carelon Research and the privacy attorneys at Elevance Health on data privacy and security issues.

He previously worked as Assistant Counsel and Director of Procurement for a Medicaid and Medicare managed care organization in Philadelphia where he advised senior-level management on various healthcare laws and regulations. Prior to joining the managed care company, David was a successful private practice civil trial attorney. David has served as a continuing legal education panelist on topics such as the Affordable Care Act and is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
