Michael Grabner, PhD

Dr. Michael Grabner has more than 12 years of experience conducting health economics and outcomes research using a variety of study designs, data sources, and statistical methods. At Carelon Research, he is responsible for developing research solutions for internal and external clients, leading scientific and data enrichment initiatives, and the dissemination of research findings. 

Dr. Grabner’s research focuses on the comparative effectiveness and cost effectiveness of medical treatments with an emphasis on diabetes, autoimmune disease, and oncology. As an author of more than 45 peer-reviewed articles, Dr. Grabner has also presented his research findings at conferences nationally and internationally and has served as a referee for leading journals including Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, and Value in Health.
